Carl Tuvin

Tuvin, president of Tuvin Associates, has, over the past 55 years, served in numerous positions in Democratic political organizations, including work at the Democratic National Convention and in state capitals.

Politically active since his undergraduate days, Tuvin started his political career as chairman of the Northeastern Conference of the Young Democratic Club of America and president of the Vermont Intercollegiate Young Democrats.

Between 1983 and 1990, he served as deputy director of the Democrats for the ‘80s political action committee founded and chaired by Pamela Harriman; was senior citizen coordinator at the Democratic National Committee during the 1984 election cycle; and national fundraising coordinator for former Sen. Paul S. Sarbanes (D-Md) during his 1982 and 1976 elections.  In addition, Tuvin was assistant to the campaign manager for the Shriver for President campaign and was staff assistant for the Mikulski for Senate campaign in 1974.   Tuvin served as the executive director of the Maryland Democratic Party from 1959 to 1961.

Tuvin is a graduate of Goddard College and the University of Baltimore School Of Law.
